(06/27/06) - Singer Associates to Expand Presence in Prince William

The Prince William Board of County Supervisors is pleased to announce that Singer Associates purchased more than 9 acres at 12351 Randolph Ridge Lane, which will become home to its new corporate headquarters and Northern Virginia emergency vehicle service facility combining three (3) locations throughout Prince William County. Singer Associates will construct a 38,000 square foot, three-story office building, which is expected to be completed by the Fall 2007. Singer Associates will also construct a 30,000 square foot service facility. Singer Associates intends to occupy only a portion of the office building, leaving approximately 22,000 square feet available for lease. They will sub-divide the 9.1 acre parcel and make the remaining 2.8 acres available for sale. Singer will transfer its existing 40 employees to the new facility and intends to hire additional employees to staff the increased facilities. Estimated investment for the project is $11.7 million.

Singer Associates sells and services emergency vehicles, equipment, parts and gear. They located their corporate headquarters to Prince William County in 2000. Singer Associates has approximately 110 employees and eight (8) service centers including mobile service vehicles located throughout Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, District of Columbia and portions of West Virginia. Singer Associates represents Pierce, the benchmark which all other emergency apparatus manufacturers are measured. Singer Associates supporting lines of apparatus include PL Custom and Medtec ambulances as well as Hurst extrication tools, are held in a similar high regard.
